Default So whats the general consensus: TS 5k or FTOPS 2500?

Both seem to have similar structures: TS has 10k chips w/ 75 min levels @ 25/50, and FTOPS is 5k chips w/ 30 min (online) levels @ 10/20. IDK what kind of turnout to expect for the 5k tho. My feeling is, if the 5k gets 100 players, it's probably worth it, but there's no guarantee. The FTOPS will likely get btw 200-300 players.

So what's everyone thinking?

EDIT: Did a little math. According to the TS payout percentages, if the 5k gets 100 players, 1st would get about 178k. Assuming FTOPS gets btw 200-297, 1st will receive about 160k.

hmm it seems like both of your estimates are a little low mkind but i really have no idea.

also, ts should allow laptops in the poker room.

Yea, no issues could possibly come up there.

That was definatly another plus to the 5k I was thinking of. I'm thinking of waking up early and staking out the registration desk to see who registers. If I see a bunch of old guys, I prob won't be able to help myself.

I was being a bit conservative on the estimates. I really don't know how many live players will pony up 5k for the TS and frankly I'd say 100 would be a success (the 1k had 207, fwiw).

The FTOPS is only 600k guarantee which is arouns 225 players estimated (will prob get a few more). There is only 169 registered at the moment and I doubt this is the type of tourney to triple the entrants on the walk up.
