Default Wireless Router with Pokerstars

Having recently moved to Pokerstars I have noticed that my d-link 524 wireless router keeps giving me timeouts at that site (playing while connected directly to my modem is fine).

Since I mostly need to play wirelessly, I need a wireless router that works well with Pokerstars.

Can anyone recommend one that works well for them?

Thanks in advance.

Yup.

Some research on PokerStars site shows that the D-Link 624 is listed as being an unstable router for their site. I guess the 524 must have a similar problem.

I use Netgear's MR814. Old as hell, doubt it's even being made anymore. But it's worked flawlessly.

I had same problems with DLink 624's. Had to quite playing on PokerStars (and a couple of other sites).

Took three of them back and ended up using a DLinK 524.

The 524 has worked for over a year now with no problem.

Does your 524 feel abnormally hot? If it does there may be something physically wrong and it needs replacing. I think there were a whole bunch of 624's and maybe some 524's that were faulty. They would get hot and then not work properly

The sole reason I don't play on stars is because of the constant disconnect between me and my DI 624. The lan or ethernet cable works fine. I find this odd as my router works with all other major sites.

I usually play on stars when my host computer is free and I just use the ethernet cable.

Wait, you're saying that when you're on wireless and Stars, you get disconnects. But when you change EITHER of those two things, you're fine? That's pretty intense.

Can you do some network trouble-shooting next time you notice a cut-out? As in the FAQ, try pinging sites and seeing exactly what's breaking. This is pretty weird.

this happens to me. Stars is high. Why would this happen with their software but not others?
