200NL: Flop small flush deep...
No real read on Villian. He just sat down a few orbits ago.
Absolute Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $1/$2 6 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $432.22 UTG+1: $200 CO: $477.30 HERO: $957.55 SB: $264.86 BB: $124.89 Pre-flop: (6 players) HERO is Button with 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] UTG calls, UTG+1 (poster) checks, CO calls, HERO calls, SB calls, BB (poster) checks. Flop: 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($12, 6 players) SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, UTG+1 checks, CO bets $10, HERO raises to $28, 4 folds, CO raises to $82, HERO calls. Turn: 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($176, 2 players) CO checks, HERO checks. River: 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($176, 2 players) CO bets $52, HERO ??? After the 3-bet on the flop I was worried that he too flopped a flush but higher than mine. The turn I pick up OESFD and river the only thing I beat is two pair or a set. How would you play this hand differently? Also, do you call river? |

Re: 200NL: Flop small flush deep...
i always call river and be so happy did not bet like 130
question in this hand is if there is a better way to play the flop. Would he limp behind a limper with AXs? |

Re: 200NL: Flop small flush deep...
I'm calling the river for sure. It looks like a bit like a blocking bet, because he doesn't want to get bluffed out with a larger bet he can't call.
And the way he backed off after the Turn hits the 4-flush this looks more like a set than anything else. Yeah I call this at this size for sure against an unknown. He only needs to not have the flush 1 in *5.5*, and there's a lot of flushes that wouldn't bother betting there. If the bet was bigger I'd have more of a decision. |

Flop is good. 4betting just ensures you get it in vs. overflushes or occasionally sets. River could go both ways. I probably call.

Thanks for all the input. The flop got scary but when he checked the turn it did smell of two pair or set.
