Jason Welch opened the pot for 36,000, Maria Ho re-raised, and Welch moved all in... BUT... Welch flipped over his {10-Clubs}{10-Spades} before Ho even had a chance to act. Ho went into the tank for a few minutes before deciding to call for her tournament life with {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}.

We don't have stack sizes to determine if its a bad call or not. But she had to be short (around 250ish before the hand started) to call off the rest after her inital reraise.

Rest of the report:

The turn was the {K-Diamonds}, the river was the {6-Clubs} and she doubled up to 175,000.

This doesn't sound possible though.

Mr. Rain Loses to Set Over Set

Paul Spitzberg raised 67,000 preflop and Jeff "Mr. Rain" Banghart called. The flop was {Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}. Mr. Rain checked, Paul Spitzberg bet 103,000 and Mr. Rain called. The turn was the {10-Clubs}. Mr. Rain checked. Paul Spitzberg bet 500,000 and Mr. Rain check-raised all in for 1,720,000. Paul Spitzberg quickly called.

Mr. Rain: {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Spitzberg: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

Mr. Rain had flopped a set, but Paul Spitzberg turned a higher set. The river was the {2-Hearts} and Paul Spitzberg doubled through Mr. Rain. After that hand, Paul Spitzberg increased his stack to 2.8 million while Jeff "Mr. Rain" Banghart slipped to 600,000.

Dario Minieri might not seem like an imposing character, but he can definitely play some poker. At last check he was sitting at about $2.6 million and he was having a tough time figuring out where to put them.

It's a tough problem to have, and we all sympathize with his plight. Luckily a floorman was near by and Dario waved him over.

''Can I please get a color up of some yellow please?'' The floorman obliged and brought over a rack of $25,000 (salmons) in a shopping cart.

The cart came with one rack of chips on it, but left with a seven. As the floorman wheeled it away, it got bumped and the chips went flying everywhere! Security began descending on railbirds from all angles.

''Out.. Everybody out! O-U-T, OUT!'' they barked as they ushered the spectators as far away from the mess of chips as possible.

After all of the chips were secured and accounted for, the area was reopened to the railbird public.

Ah, the pain of too many chips!

I haven't seen a Nordberg (Peter Feldman) update in ages.
