3--K9o Open All-In.
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t200 (6 handed)
My effective M is about 2.3. I know you don't use M around here, but I don't know why. (Anywhere I can brush up on the BB vs M thing? How does it take antes into account?) Time to make a move w/ K9 or would you hang on for something better? Re: 3--K9o Open All-In.
Setting all 3 players to follow as level 3 on SNGPT, this shows as a push - the key being the antes, which give you in total a stack increase of 20% if no one calls.
BTW, you have 15000 chips in play. With Pokerstars, shouldnt in only be 13.5k? |

Re: 3--K9o Open All-In.
Assuming no antes, fold. w/ 10xBB and the wide ranges you're likely to be up against at the $3 games, shoving K9o from the CO is no good. I'd probably shove ATs+, 66+ here.
With antes, it's still not a shove. I'd only open up to like 55+, A7+, KQs+ then. Tom, look at the sticky thread at the top of this forum, that has a link to all the useful software you can use, and look to download the free trials of SNGPT or SNGwiz and play around with these to see what you can open shove and when. |

SNGPT has it @ +0.5% EV (using level 3 for all 3 to follow) - and I dont think they would all play the loose in reality so you could argue that it would be considerably more +Ev. The only argument for not pushing would be that bigger +EV opportunities would lie ahead for us. Am I missing something? |

Re: 3--K9o Open All-In.
To be honest I didn't actually run it thru SNGPT.
Now running it thru SNGPT yeah you're right, K9o IS +.5 WITH antes and everybody calling 44+,A7s+,A9o+,KJs+ However, I dunno but at a $3 game I kinda assumed they could well be calling slightly looser than that, maybe not. That's for the OP to tell us I s'pose. Obviously, the tighter they are the more you can shove. I just don't trust these guys to call properly. |

Re: 3--Jack Nine Offsuit Open All-In.
Here's another one I did that I wasn't sure about. I'm trying to get a feel for when these PF All-Ins are appropriate. What guidelines do most people go by? Is there some reference or book for guidance? I have HOH 1, 2 & 3 but I was advised SnGs players don't like to use "M."
