I tried to make a ninja edit on EV1 but I wasn't quick enough

EV1=525*x + (1-x)*(1400*2-1250)*b

where b is the probability you win when you do get called .

Either way , villain should have folded j-4 since he could have waited for a better spot to do this . You will be dealt a better card than this on average , on your very next deal .

I wouldn't know his hand unless I played well.

If you had anything but QQ+ this is false.

I had AK, does that count?

I'd go with AK.

Cwar , have you been drinking ? lol

You don't need pocket queens to call the shove or to even raise preflop . Unless you've played with this particular villain , you cannot make such a remark .

I assume cwar is saying that hero should be push/folding preflop with anything except a hand like QQ+ where he wants, nay demands, action from opponent

I'd rather see this with any PP than AK too.

My standard rule for AK would be to commit an absurd amount of chips preflop to where villain is making a truly terrible call. Basically if you had raised to 900 here. Or, in most situations, shove AK.

lol.

Of course Villain's play was leaky. IMO his play on the flop wasn't nearly as bad as his preflop call. Based on your read I'm sure he planned to push like 95% of flops here.

If Hero's got AKo, he should call. It's not a happy insta-call, but it's a call.

Jay, I am not great at math, but it seems to me that call pf/shove flop is a better line than 3bet shove pf versus certain opponents who will fold high cards here.

OP (and others), I know you would not have raised with 32o here (hopefully), but assuming you get to this flop and villain shoves for the same amount, are you calling? Why or why not? If that scenario is too unrealistic to think through, how about K2o-type hands?
