Whew! Glad we solved the massive corruption and wholesale purchase of our politicians with that law. It'll all be clear sailing from here. Poor special interests will probably have to starve to death now, we should put them on welfare. [/ QUOTE ] So are you for tightening the limits or eliminating them? |

[ QUOTE ] Honestly what does this mean? [/ QUOTE ] I guess everyone thinks every Presidential candidate is bought and paid for. However, with the campaign finance limits, any individual can only donate a few thousand dollars. I am not convinced that a candidate who raises tens of millions of dollars can be bought for a $2000 check. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, good thing we made it so individuals can't compete with organizations and corporations. |

Eliminating; there's no need to censor political speech. Unless they're socialists.

Re: Tonight\'s YouTube debate
Unless he's had a brain transplant since I met and was forced to work with him 30 years ago, Biden is dumb as a rock. Every time he wanders from his scripted messages he puts his foot in it.
Obama won because he managed to shift the focus from his total lack of credentials for the job and turn it into being a positive as an "outsider". |

Re: Tonight\'s YouTube debate
The debate was more of the same dressed up as new, but at least it was more entertaining than usual. I was happy to see a Democrat actually say he's in favor of the Fair Tax, even if he was the crazy one.
Maybe the cable networks can get even more revolutionary next time and let each candidate answer the same questions and have equal time to speak. |
