Various HU formats NLTRN
Sorry if this has been covered somewhere else (I didn't find anything with search) or this post just sucks in general.
Assuming equal skill what are ROI/hourly rate expectancies for regular HU SNG'S vs TURBOS vs 4-player shoot outs vs 16+ player HU tournaments I know generally you lose roi playing turbos but gain hr/rate due to faster blinds etc so I am more curious about the advatages/disadvantages of the shoot-outs and touraments when compaired to regular HU SNG's |

Re: Various HU formats NLTRN
On FullTilt, shootouts have too hurt your ROI/winrate. Your opponents in the second round should be tougher on average and waiting for people to finish is annoying. The rake is about the same (at a 50% winrate)
On Stars, the rake is cheaper, so maybe it is worth it there. |

Re: Various HU formats NLTRN
I prefer regulars to Turbos. The question is, whether the regulars without Blind increase are worth a shot, since playing them you have a bigger edge against a bad opponent I assume?

The blinds should re-start or be frozen at the winner's level for the final match. There's no reason the winner of the first match should be penalized for finishing his opponent faster. It always annoyed me slightly, then I played the IronMan HU shootout and was fuming mad since I dispatched my first opponent in 30 hands (he was a good player, QQ < AK) and waited forever for the next match. To make a long rant short, the shoot outs have to be lower ROI. The turbos favor those who adjust to blinds better and for those who have no problem gambling. Overall I think it's equal EV. |

Its all about preferences. Try 'em both out and see which one you prefer.
