NL100: Weak combodraw vs regular.
Villain 20/13/4 so he is good TAG.
Can I call this push and should I raise him on flop? I gave him this range: JJ+,55-33,AcKc,AcQc,AcJc,AcTc,KcQc,KcJc And this gives me only 41% equity and I need 40% to call this push so this is breakeven. Is my thinking is right and this is close or I can add some hands to his range to justify calling this for sure? Can I add some hands just as bluff for his range? Party Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.50/$1 5 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $220.25 CO: $57.50 Hero: $154.61 SB: $99 BB: $100 Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is Button with 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG folds, CO raises to $3, Hero calls, SB calls, BB folds. If you raise the flop, raise bigger so you dont how to ask this question. Its still a call I think.

Re: NL100: Weak combodraw vs regular.
Ops.. The fact that SB leads into you make this tougher. Higher percent of sets. Crappy situation you got yourself into here. Guess Im folding, but i would never have played it like this.

Don't raise if you're not calling the push.

[/ QUOTE ] Ok. How you would play this? This is really interesting for me cause I really don't know where I can do anything other to not put myself in this tough spot. |

Yeah just dont raise this flop because sb is shoving over the top 99% of the time. Dont like preflop either.

Re: NL100: Weak combodraw vs regular.
Preflop: Cold-calling 46s against a raise from a 60 bb stack is BAD.
Flop: Your outs are not clean against SB's leading range, and SB never folds. Just call. Turn: Depends on board and SB's action. Assuming blank turn card: - I usually fold if SB pots. - If he bets weak, and I have a read that he is able to fold made hands, I raise him all in. - If he checks, I bet 3/4 pot, and fold to a push. Remember that stack-sizes are very important when playing draws. You always want to be the one that makes the final push (without overbetting pot to much). Putting yourself in a situasion where you are (almost) pot-commited to call his push, is going to cost you a lot of money. |
