Default Crappy paired board situation...

This is a situation that I really hate. You raise pre-flop with Ax, and a semi-spastic, tricky player with whom you've played before calls in the BB calls. The board pairs, and you get check/raised, possibly leaving you with few outs if you're behind. Sometimes he'll three-barrel his own ace high. Under what circumstances do you continue, and how far do you usually call down?

Example:

PokerStars 5/10 Hold'em (5 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Preflop: Hero is Button with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
2 folds, Hero raises, 1 fold, BB calls.

Flop: (4.40 SB) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, BB raises, Hero calls.

Turn: (4.20 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB bets, Hero calls.

River: (6.20 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 8.20 BB

Depends on dynamics. If he has seen you call down with A high on paired board recently I would find a fold if I thought he'd realize it.

I think calling down here with Ax always is a mistake if you have a SD bound image.

Given your description I play it like you and I would see a SD UI. Next time tho I will just call his flop c/r and then fold turn UI

These boards are like Q72 boards. Everybody knows they are good bluffing boards. I agree with Oink that playing these spots all comes down to meta and dynamics.
