Default buisness trip to Long Beach. Games?

Going to Long Beach for a conference and would like to hit up a live game for a change. Any rooms near there?

When I was in Long Beach last year, I found my way to Commerce and The Bike. They're both something like 20 minutes away.

You need a car(or its an expensive cab ride). All the cardrooms are within a 20-30 minute drive.

Long Beach is big so it really depends. If the OP is staying close to the 605 freeway then HG is closest by far. But if he is near downtown he can get on the 710 northbound and take a straight shot up to the Bike. Note that the evening traffic on the 710 north is relatively light (and it's always light on the weekends). Of course the 710 north is horrible midday when the trucks from the port load up the right two lanes.

Save $3 by going to Google Maps along with getting the addresses of the major clubs off their web sites. You'll end up with printed directions

Assuming you have a car, I would recommend the extra 10 minutes drive to get to Commerce or the Bike. Worth it to go to either over Hawaiian Gardens, though HG is closer, no doubt.

The Poker Atlas can help you find a game near Long Beach... you can zoom in on LA in the map and get a good idea of where your closest games will be... good luck.
