Re: Should we really care??
[ QUOTE ]
If they are colluding, they stink. They should pound you on the turn, not the flop. In an earlier thread someone said they never played at the same table. If these are bots you are going to include some innocent players who just happen to have stats similar to the bots. You will in essence convict these innocent players and sentence them to death along with the others. [/ QUOTE ] I disagree. There is too much coincidence. EVERY stat is the same!!! And they DO play together. |

Re: Should we really care??
It seems like this "botter" has been pretty slack though.... timing tells, naming tells, too many similar bots on the same site etc. If party are a half-competent at this aspect of running a site (and those SNG bots got caught, after all), then I think there is a good change that this lot get caught too.
But yes, it's going to evolve into a cat-and-mouse game. |

ok cool, just didn't understand why you were posting it! Interesting to note that the party update has nuked PAHUD. I think they have changed the game window slightly and bots should be broken for know. Should be interesting to see who can't play for the next 24hrs or so. [/ QUOTE ] I thought it was just me as my PA went down after the reboot - hope that is temp |

Re: Should we really care??
[ QUOTE ]
they should be able to uncover the bot on peoples computer. [/ QUOTE ] also, in terms of an evolving cat-and-mouse game, if you have access to someones computer, I'm thinking you can probably detect "signatures" of a program, despite changing the name of the process..... but obviously there will be counter strategies and so on. The bottom line is that party have to make it as difficult for people as possible, and have to keep catching and confiscating funds, so that the problem is kept as minimal as possible. |

[/ QUOTE ] What is the SNG bot story? I wonder if Party isn't reactive rather than proactive in a lot of these situations. They'll take action someone points something out to them, but otherwise they really don't care. |

Re: Bots in PartyPoker\'s 6-max Limit games?
What kind of experiment was this? What did it prove?
I like the bot's bluff raise on the river when the scare card hits. |

Re: Should we really care??
But you will take down a few innocents. I have seen this happen in other forms of gambling. In the early days of card counting detection many live ones were barred just because they varied their bets and seemed to play perfect basic strategy.
