Over 70 hands and people have started 3 betting him so I'm assuming he adjusts. The "calls the river with 9 hi" thing is the more important part of the read IMO.

This is a standard fold on the flop vs someone who almost never caps(he probably has a very strong starting hand). AA KK QQ AK maybe JJ or AQ. You want no parts of any of these hands.

Yeah good question. The dude is playing 65% of his hands, most likely angry that people keep 3betting him, so his range is probably even bigger than the 65/25 mark.

So we don't have a great hand read on him, which makes me agree with victor even more.

The main issue seems to be what is the capping range of a 60/25 who is capping for the first time in 6 opportunities?

The secondary issue is does he play a PP this way, and does he call it? I say yes and "fairly likely".

If you choose not to bet this river, you are basically saying he does not have a PP lower than the board, and the flop peel becomes suspect (metagame aside).

So you think he probably has a lower than J pp? I wouldn't assume he has a lower pocket pair but maybe add it to his range. AA-55 AK AQ KQ the better the hand the more likely because he capped. Does this seem like a better range for this guy?

So mr I cant be read decides he is tired of beeing threebet and goes out of line with 77 and check calls this river?

edit: What I mean is, if he bet I'd call every day of the week. Now I still check.
