i never understood the love for RE4. i bought it cause the reviews were so good and thought it was terrible. the fact that you can't move and shoot at the same time is a deal-breaker for me. besides that, the controls were clunky and it just wasn't fun.

could someone who liked it explain the appeal? i really don't get it. (not trying to bash the game - i just really didn't find it fun, and my opinions tend to agree with most people's and most reviews)

also, OP, which other games do you have? are you looking for single player or multi-player? i assume single player because you mentioned metroid...

have you played zelda? guitar hero 3 comes out soon. mario strikers was a lot of fun the few times i played it with a friend.

I'd hold out for Mario Galaxy in a few weeks, unless you haven't played Zelda yet. If you're looking for Multiplayer games, Mario Strikers is lots of fun, even if you dislike soccer. Other MP games are decent to rent, but most aren't good enough to own IMHO.

just single player i enjoy pretty much all genres other than rpgs, resident evil sounds cool i might go with that, only other game i have played is zelda

edit: i like soccer is the single player in that game decent?

Dude, get some friends. Wii games are made for their sociability. Strikers is amazing with 4 people.. and I do mean the story mode.
