Default ensign_lee\'s NBA Playoffs Selections

Record: 26-24-0
Units Won: +16.97 units

You can verify my record for yourself at http://www.sagestats.com/view.php?uid=322424978 . It'll also give you more information as to whether to follow or fade.

To keep things more organized, I think I'm going to try to keep all of my NBA playoff picks in this thread from now on.

Allrighty, for today:

We have Cleveland, a #2 seed, who swept their opponent during the first four games. Granted, it was a crippled Wizards team, but you can't really just discount it based on that. Plus, they've had tons of extra rest compared to the Nets, who had to spend lots of time and energy fending off a hungry Raptors team. Heck, they just played and won a 1 point game two nights ago.

So let's see if I can't blow my profit from the regular season now.

Because of the extra rest factor, I'm going to increase my units on this play...by a lot.

Cleveland -6 (+100.94)
11 units at Matchbook

and whipsaw:

Because they're still a basketball team in the NBA. The talent gap between teams isn't THAT big.

So your expectation of performance for the Lakers would be the same if Kobe and Odom were gone for a series? That makes no sense. A team missing 2 of their 3 best players will underperform and it has to have SOME effect.

I think what he's trying to say is "a sweep is a sweep", even though the Wiz were without two of their best players the Cavs still had to get the job done against an NBA team. Not saying I agreee, IMO the Cavs are ridiculously overhyped and even though they got the sweep the Wiz were competitive the majority of the time...but, I like this bet in game 1 against a tired Nets team.

Bringing this back up to 11 units.

The Pinny lean was worrying me, but hopefully that's gone now.

And my main factor in this game isn't that. It's the difference in rest between the two teams.

Cavs better pick it up. Nets aren't showing as much fatigue as you'd expect after playing 6 games in two weeks.
