Re: What book should I read next...
TBH .... There aren't any good books out there, if you are not interested in reading about other games than NL Hold'em. (and even if you are, there are stilll not many good books out there)
Worth having imo besides what you have mentioned: From 2+2: The Ray Zee library (7CSFAP and H/L Split Poker) Stoxtraders new book Otherwise: Perhaps Rolf Slotsbooms PLO book, not truly great but the best there is and it is a pleasant read Poker litterature if you are playing at mid levels and up generally sucks. |

I hope Rolf writes an NL book. His NL videos were good.

Thx [/ QUOTE ] You have a lot of good material. That said, the Stoxtrader book is your #1 priority. Best shorthanded material around. In addition, Dave Fromm has an excellent 3 DVD set on shorthanded limit play put out by Expert Holdem. Of course, Fromm and Ray Zee's book on shorthanded high stakes limit games will be out soon. Byron Jacobs, who wrote How Good is Your Limit Holdem, has a DVD set out by Expert Holdem on heads up limit play. As for full ring, Ed Miller's DVDs from Expert Holdem are good. Roy Cooke's Real Poker II - Play of Hands is a good resource, as is Bob Ciaffone's Middle Limit Holdem (which is too weak tight for 6 max). Howard Lederer's Secrets of Limit Holdem DVD is OK. Finally, you may want to go on Wayback Machine and look for Abdul Jalib's Preflop Theory and Theory of Sucking Out on the old www.posev.com |
