Re: $5/27 p10s in the BB, WWYD?
[x] 130-140 would be a standard sized raise there, so 160 is not that unusual/weird
[x] Raising intending to fold to a shove is bad. Raising intending to call a shove is bad. Shoving is bad. The question is whether you can profitably flat call this. I think you can. If other limpers come along you can play this for set value. If they don't then you can play TT as a decent hand, won't be easy to play but should still be +EV overall. |

Re: $5/27 p10s in the BB, WWYD?
Both those options sound bad with pushing being the worst of the two.
It's not mentioned so I assume we don't have a read that villain is a moron. That's the only way KJ is showing up here and that's not calling the all in. If it's an average player, a small part of his range is folding because it's worse than TT and a large part is calling because it's better than TT. Calling just puts you in an awkward spot OOP and it gets more awkward if a limper decides to come along. Looks like a fold. |

Thanks for the input gang!
I hate these spots where every option seems bad. |

[ QUOTE ]
Results??...did you fold? [/ QUOTE ] No I 3 bet to 500, villain pushed, I called and he showed pocket 9s. The 10s held and I doubled up. I know I won, but I feel like I played it poorly. The hand seemed awkward, and my 3 bet felt uncomfortable. After he pushed I was certain I was toast, but I called anyways. |
