I think it's a fifty fifty wether to call or not. You have the third best possible hand after the flop and i would find it hard for him to have QJ or JJ in his position. Slow playing it was a good idea but the 10 was what probably made you doubt the strength of your hand. However his bet at the end could be a bluff since there are, with the ten, various hands that beat you and a decision to bluff you in this situation, as you slow played it, is comprehensable.

Ugh. I'm not folding because I have the A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] but I expect villain has TT (or perhaps 98[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]).

Edit: He could have AK here too. Why didn't you raise the flop or bet the turn? AK could b/f the flop.

Can I ask why you checked the turn? Giving a free card to a draw-friendly board is something I normally don't condone.

i dont mind the call on the flop to get some more action, but on the turn you have to shove to this board

I like the play since we have the As. w/o we need to protect a bit by shoving the turn but not with it. AK and TT are the only hands we're really worried about because the raise UTG doesnt give him credit for a flush here. Pretty easy call and wp IMO.

Induce a river bluff? Ten of spades was actually the worst card in the deck.

Why is this 3 bet terrible?

[/ QUOTE ]You're 3 betting an ultra tight player who is raising UTG. This is closer to a fold than raise.
