NL100 JTs/QJs oop against LAG

Commerce Casino, LA. NL100. $2/$3 blinds.

Villain is 3 seats to my left, and has been playing fairly LAGgy, with a wide range of raising hands. He cbets overcards often, and plays draws aggressively on the flop, but he is not a fish. He is the big stack at the table, and is playing bully.

In the span of an hour, I got JTs/QJs four times in EP/MP, and the hands all played out almost the same:

Hero limps ($3)

(maybe one or two other limpers)

Villain raises $20

All other limpers fold

Hero calls

Flop is crap

Hero checks

Villain bets 1/2-2/3 of pot

Hero folds


I pretty much hate everything about how I played this. Seriously weak-tight. But I am not sure what I should be doing with these hands. Should I be folding to his pf raise? Open-raising myself?

QJs/JTs have always confused me - all help appreciated.

In EP i'd probably fold both of these hands. Since the game plays so short, I'd definitely be folding to the raise behind you. Reverse implied odds when you spike a pair etc etc.

dont limp call with essentially suited connectors oop to avoid this problem.

limp/calling and playing fit or fold on the flop is just burning money. And even if you flop a decent draw, it's often difficult to draw cheaply OOP to an aggro player.
