Default AKs vs donk

he could have flush draw here, he could have low pair here, he could have over cards here, or he could have a Q. And there was a slight chance he would fold, plus it was a shortie. I got berated for this one, so tell me what i
should have done:

Party Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.10/$0.25 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

SB: $18.70
BB: $9.50
<font color="black">Hero (UTG): $23.70</font>
MP: $13.58
CO: $25.90
BTN: $24.40

<font color="black">Preflop:</font> Hero is dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (6 Players)
<font color="red">Hero raises to $1.00</font>, <font color="red">MP raises to $1.75</font>, CO calls $1.75, 3 folds, Hero calls $0.75

<font color="black">Flop:</font> ($5.60) 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 Players)
<font color="red">Hero bets $3.00</font>, <font color="red">MP raises to $6.00</font>, CO folds, <font color="red">Hero raises to $11.00</font>, MP calls $5.00

<font color="black">Turn:</font> ($27.60) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
<font color="red">Hero bets $1.25</font>, MP calls all-in for $0.83
Uncalled bet of $0.42 returned to Hero

<font color="black">River:</font> ($29.26) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players - 1 All-In)

Pot Size: $29.26 ($1.95 Rake)

MP had T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (a pair of Queens) and WON (+$13.73)
Hero had A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (high card Ace) and LOST (-$13.58)

Pretty much standard but just 3bet shove the flop rather than leave him the eighty cents.

You were a favorite on the flop.

Also, since villain is kind of short and there is a lot of dead money in the pot I like a shove pf.

*I use scum lovingly. Kind of. And he's not that short, but that dooesn't change much.

You were berated because most players dont understand this play. They think you should just call down 2 pot sized bets with the non-nut flush draw and shove the river when you hit.

Totally standard. If you're only posting this cuz of the chat afterwards turn your chat off. Go to twodimes.net and see who's the favorite on the flop.

You asked about the flop, my guess is they refered to pf, which is not optimal.

depends on the nature of the donk.

if he is a loose passive fishy type then just play it slow, cos he'll pay you off when you hit, there is no need to build the pot before you make your hand, and you likely have little FE

if he is a lagtard type, then shove it all in on the flop while you are ahead
