ATTN: Anyone Played Live WW?
If you have, how was the voting handled? It seems like that would be the most difficult thing to take care of, although I guess you just wait until nightfall and count how many ppl are pointing fingers at each person?
I'm thinking about introducing it at our christmas party - a lot of ppl will be there and the majority of them would be interested in it. Any thoughts w/ regards to running a smooth game? Thanks! |

FWIW, it's a fun game but it is obviously much less complex than the forum-based version. You can't go back to someone's words as easily, or their votes.

Re: ATTN: Anyone Played Live WW?
I play live WW pretty often with friends. Someone just calls for a vote and anyone wishing to vote for the accused raises their hands. As soon as a majority on anyone is reached, the day is over. Non-binding votes can be called for to get a feel for how things are looking.
On a related note, I put together cards for live WW. Instead of using boring playing cards that people have to remember ("Uh, is black wolf or villager again?"), they can use these spiffy cards. They're available here if you want to try them out. http://www.yourfilelink.com/get.php?fid=235285 I had them color laser printed at Kinko's, then cut them out on their paper cutters. Then I glue-sick'd the fronts to the backs (the "Werewolf" images are the card backs) and lamenated them. I think they look pretty good. The only thing I would have done differently is that I set the dpi too low so the images look a little pixelated, but it's not noticeable after a couple beers. I can send the original Photoshop files to anyone who wants them. One problem with live WW is that the mod sometimes has a hard time seeing who the wolf/seer is pointing to if people are crammed in close together. So I made number cards that each person gets and has to hold up at night. Then night actions can be made by telling the mod the number instead of pointing at the victim. |
