Re: getting value out of nfd?
This is actually a good spot to just pot because you don't really want the SB to fold. OP is crushing pretty much all drawing hands and is a favorite over two pair so making it so that the SB or whoever can coldcall like this because he thinks you screwed up gets you a lot of value on the turn.

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Bet 4.90 on flop because it accomplishes samething as your $5 bet except it lets you reraise if the shorty goes all-in. [/ QUOTE ] wow very smart [/ QUOTE ] it should be a standard play to always look at your opponents stack sizes both pre and post flop, and always bet this way so you can come over the top of limpers not paying attention - works especially well in MTT's during the first hour |

Re: getting value out of nfd?
No you pot the flop against observant players because it makes them think you [censored] up in allowing them in with their draw without you being able to reraise. If they aren't that observant they will still call with crappy flush / straight draws they probably would have folded if you'd been able to reraise.
The only value you will get unimproved on the river is against stubborn KKxx kind of hands so generally a check behind is best. |
