Default Spots we rarely think about

This is HU, but if you wish pretend it is 6-max against a very loose opponent. Villain is loose passive, will sometimes call 2 barrels with A-high, you know the type. $200 stacks.

You open to 6 on button, he calls.

Flop is 5h 7h 8s

and you have black 22. How do you proceed?

Eh, if he's calling down super light I think we can VB here on the flop. It's not like we're ever gonna get c/r'd with a worse hand (at least not according to the read). If villain calls there I'm probably not putting any more money into the pot.

I'm assuming Villain checks the flop...
I like to Cbet most of the time, and then double barrel most turns as well.

My thinking is pretty much as follows:
We're very slightly +EV. So Betting is good.
Betting does make our decisions a little tougher and we have to think more, so it's a little trickier esp. if we're multi tabling.

I really like to give action to the loose guys and if we're playing all our slightly +EV spots hard, we'll be getting more action with the big hands. There was a thread almost exactly like this spot not too long ago I'll look for.

while we're thinking about stuff we do automatically...

lets think about why we're playing preflop. i'm considering the option of folding it. on the button. heads up.

dust, wow, thats all I can say

evg, I think its more profitable against most people to use the fact that they are folding this flop to much rather than check it. People give up the flop HU a lot at lower limits when they shouldn't/should profitably bluff raise
