i felt he was weak on the flop but being OOP i thought c/r was bad because i cant call a 3b AI so it felt too spewy. so i decide to call. gin on turn but still bet call a raise sesms bad esp given how much hte board has changed.


do you play this any differently?

As played I give up on the flop.

I really do not know what I would do on the turn and river since I never get there like this.

I also 3bet preflop against unknown and as played fold the flop.

I'd just lead the turn, calling a small raise and folding to a big one.

I think your line on turn and river is fine though.

me too, but being OOP on the first hand with no read i didnt want to 3 bet here. i think it is a bad 3bet given the situation as it is because i cant call a shove and if called im not comfortable on a Q board or an ace board.

i never get to the river this way either which is why i had no idea what to do

I generally 3 bet preflop. Fold flop. Donking for close to pot on the turn actually seems fine. You *might* get him to fold a better hand; you *might* get called by worse, but often you can avoid a tough river decision. As played I'd call for $15 on the river.

I'd be very comfortable if called by an unknown in a 3bet pot if we flop an A or Q.

I think it's ok how you played the hand. I might have tried betting the turn cuz u hit top pair top kicker and now have the ace high flush draw. Either way I'm def calling the river.
