Um hello, Ernie Johnson? Inside the NBA wins Emmys and according to Wiki, some consider it the best studio show on television.
Mike and the Dog, Joe Benigno. Sports Guy blows, I don't think anyone has mentioned him though anyway. If you actually know anything about what he's talking about you realize he's a moron. This shows when he says anything about poker, and he has my roommate constantly spouting off about "The Ewing Effect" (teams are often better after a long-time franchise player/star finally leaves, based obviously on Patrick Ewing) even though my roommate knows nothing about basketball. Knicks were better with Ewing and it isn't debatable, just take a quick glance at what they did when he was hurt and after he left Simmons you [censored] douchebag.

Sports guy can't not tell the difference between causation and correlation, is incredibly results oriented and thinks guys like JD Drew suck for being average.

I find that usually people who were former players, talking about their sport in a non-bias fashioned make the best media members. Herbstreit for college football, john kruk, aikman, marino, the guys on best damn sports show are pretty good too.

That may be true, if they did, or could, talk about their sport in a non-bias fashion. But, I don't think most of them can do this. They seem to always mention how things were when they played, but usually not in a historical sense. Or they will discuss what they would be thinking/feeling if they were in the same situation as X is during a particular spot in the game. And to me, their 'thoughts' or 'feelings' they describe in this situation, always seem really contrived. craig
