Default New Look Problems

Hi Everyone:

Some of you, including me, are seeing a jumbled mess when you go to the forums. We did expect some unsettlement and are working on the problem. If we can't fix it quickly we'll back out of the changes until we can find a solution.

Best wishes,
Mason

I think someone messed up with the format and selected wood panelling when what they actually wanted was what they had before. Please reverse if possible!

Hi Mason,
Also, somebody mistakenly put in drop down menus on the left.

Best,
Zod

Hi Mason,

It was originally jumbled but now displays fine in both Internet Explorer 7 beta and Firefox.

The real issue is that the central part of the page doesn't scale to your screen, causing narrow posts and large areas of whitespace on both sides. I image this would be easy to fix when everything gets settled.

Apart from that, which is most people's gripe, it definitely looks better. The wood panelling needs to be toned down a bit though.

This design looks fine to me, it's just the dropdown menus that ruins it.

Wide pictures cause the center frame to bleed over the right side so that you have to scroll over to read the posts in the thread.

Hi TT:

There should be a temporary fix in place for this problem.

We're not 100 percent happy with our designers at the moment. They clearly didn't do the proper amount of testing the redesign required. If necessary, we'll back out all the changes until we can get it right.

Best wishes,
Mason
