for those that say check flop: say we get a c/call on flop. then turn goes ch/ch. Do we fire river or c/c again?

It was really weird. I couldn't put villian on a hand that beats me the way he played it. I don't know if this is a theorem-- but when you can't put your opponent on a hand, it's usually a bluff, right?

The river is a 100BB bet, but we're also getting 3:1. most think this is spewy and I would too. But at the time of the hand... it just made so much more sense to me.

i would check the flop, but i check the flop w AA, KK, and AK pretty often, just because the relative strengths of your hands is very unlikely to change from the flop to the turn, and worse hands don't pay you off on the flop, but they may on the turn after you've showed weakness by checking

in this hand if would either check call or bet fold the turn

then i would check fold that river, since your are now behind such a large part of villain's range...

The way it played out, villain's hand looks like AK.
Even a set is possible because your both deep.
So if you dont believe his holding AK or a set, pay to see.
Then cry 9/10 times.
haha

C/f turn. What hand do you really think he has after pf and flop (with the K there) that you beat?

Yeah this is sick, I'd rather make my money off the donk in a more certain situation, especially this deep

You even say yourself you have no reads, yikes. Congrats on your psychic abilities if you won then.

No no no, that just means that some players aren't rational. I can't see why you think AA/KK/AK/55/44 isn't likely and A5/A8/A4 at least possible. People just doesn't turn a PP into a 200bb bluff here, like ever.

There's a saying; "Big bets and big pots are for big hands", or something like that. Even though it's simplifying things I think that's a saying you should keep in mind the next time you're about to call down a bluff for 200bb.
