[/ QUOTE ] gas is just a pet peeve of mine. if cable tv or cell phone service company profits where as high as the oil companies, there would be public hangings...but for some reason, big oil is allowed to get away with it. [/ QUOTE ] This is wrong. The profit margin ratio the oil companies see isn't anything extraordinary. They just deal in large quantities of cash so of course their profits will be high. The pharmaceutical industry is where our outrage should be pointed towards if you want to talk about high profit margins.

And the average person has no idea what kind of effort is required to recover oil.
