Default Florida Multi Day Tourneys legal?

Are tourneys which last longer than 1 day legal in Florida?
I know they would be legal at the indian casinos but have seen many postings by Florida players claiming they must be completed in 1 day at other poker rooms. The Emerald coast poker championship is advertised at the Ebro Greyhound and the main event is 3 days Nov 15-17 so i guess they are legal.

Also have the Indian Casinos been given authority to have buy-ins greater than $100 in cash games.

Ive searched the web for a good summary of Florida Poker law with no luck.

Here is a link to the law that passed:

http://www.flsenate.gov/cgi-bin/view_pag.../billtext/html/

While there is no mention of finishing a tourney by days end, I do recall that there was talk about a clause that allowed 1 or 2 multi day events in a year. I can't find where it was documented, But I recall that they were going to allow that to try and attract a WPT event in the state.
If I find the info I will repost it for you.

Thanks for that link Good information and from what I can determine it does not forbid multi-day Tournaments. I will contact ebro Greyhound and see if they had to get special permission. Also of interest is the cap of $880 on tournament entry fees and this would prevent a major event from being held in Florida unless seats could be won through qualifiers only. This is the format being used next month by the Heartland Poker Tour in Colorado to get around the max $500 buy in that state. Players can win multiple entries but must use the first one and can sell others which may actually allow those with multiple entries to make a decent profit selling to those who fail to qualify

The ban against multiday tourneys was in there at one point, but I don't see it there now. Must have been stricken at some point in the legislative process.

Aren't items that were included but later excluded still included but stricken out?

Is what you are trying to say: Words stricken are deletions; words underlined are additions.

I talked to the cardroom manager hosting the Multi Day tournamnent It is the Emeral Coast Poker Championship at the Ebro Greyhound park and she said she had to obtain special authority to host it, whatever that means but after reading the florida law and amendment there is no mention on restrictions for hosting multi day events.

Does anyone know of any other Florida cardrooms planning multi day events?

The addition/sticken words are from the original law that was in place for the poker rooms. There were a TON of changes proposed before the final version was accepted. But only the changes from the original to the last accepted are on record. For example:there was a $10 limit in there at one point and operating hours were 10am - 2am. But you only see the changes from the original bill to the last accepted. I hope this makes sense.
