Are you saying you just called top set heads-up on a rainbow board that had 2 straight possibilities?

Really looks like J9. Could be slowplayed set, but more likely J9. He wanted to raise you on flop for free card, but didnt want to lose customers when he hit his draw. Fold. I dont think anyone in that game is capable of raising air here.

Mitch, would you really fold in this situation? I am not capable of it. Btw, the river was a King. But I was capable of only c/c.

When was this hand played?

I am thinking of a particular villain who played on Sunday. Not sure if this is when the hand was played, but your read describes him well, except that I have never seen him raise a big street as a bluff or with less than 2 pair against a tight pf raiser. This also pertains to alot of loose-flop aggro players in the 15. Also, your flop tell is usually a draw. Regularly, I would never fold this but against the guy I am thinking of I would, because you are drawing either to 2 outs or dead alot of the time. When the K comes you should bet/call, but I dont think cc is too bad.

The only real straight possiblity was J9 as there is almost no way he had AJ given action on all other streets.

Exactly! Why would he just call here? I do understand that OP probably got bad beat by the J9, which is why he posted the hand, but why just call with top set?
