i'm not having a big downswing. winning 60% at showdown with trips = you can't win money. i very rarely check hands like the QT or A4, and both of those came at the end of my session tonight. then i stopped playing.

the mistakes i make when playing:

- sometimes i make a turn check where i should bet, like the above hands. if i checked every time i had TPMK after getting called twice on rainbow paired boards, i don't think it would affect me very much. however, i don't usually check those anyway.

- sometimes i make bad river calls of raises. i'm pretty sure i'm still better than most other players at these limits in this regard, but i could improve in this area.

also the average vpip/pfr at stars 3/6 is 35/16 (taken from my PT summary tab).

3/6 is tough

got called on TT99 turn by 44
and on QQJJx river by 77

I play better than you so I won both hands.

im not saying this to be an [censored] but low limit games are beatable for such a big win rate that if ur having a big downswing ur game has serious holes in it

[/ QUOTE ]

The low limit games are definitely beatable for a decent rate, but the obscene rake in the games plus the fact that there are less truly awful players around mean that even at these limits downswings will be much more common than they were in the past.

i always forget how serious the responses get when i start these stupid threads.

everything will be ok. i was just annoyed at some particular plays that seem to only happen when the villain is actually playing "correctly" against my hand. that's where you get the "how do they do it" and "do they see my cards" crap. i'm also irritable because:

a. i have jock itch or something and it is painful.
b. i cracked my lip at the corner of my mouth.
c. the left side of my jaw doesn't close so i can't chew easily.
d. i've either been bitten a ton by spiders or i have some other kind of problem because i have like 10 large red bumps on my upper leg. i'm all f'd up, haha.

i love you all, though.

hard times.

I know this and lately I thought about what makes a loosing session a loosing session.

And yesterday I started to take notes everytime some guy with an underpair hits his 2 outs until the river or everytime someone with just the gutshot hits until the river.

I played like 1000 hands (stars 2-4$) and I came up with this:
- 9 times I got f'd up by a gutshot
- 3 times some lucky basda* hit his 2 outs
yet I had a winning session

I know about equity and swings and stuff but how many times can you be "unlucky" without turning into a looser?

I love how every other forum has some official "low-content" thread, but we just look for the miles post with 50 replies.
