I got there at 7 and they were playing for atleast 4 hours after that... table 13 I think. Unless they changed the game on that table, but I doubt it since I noticed the huge stacks of green and red all night...

I was playing 3/6 on table 2.

I know the 4/8 game broke around 7. There was a guy walking from some table with two racks of greens and they were talking about how some table broke and they mentioned 30/60.

Perhaps they were confused, or that was some other game. (was there a pot limit game yesterday)

Default Re: Weekend of oct. 19 10/20-20/40 games

There is a fair amount of interest for the friday (oct. 19) 10/20 game. I will be there at noon and will be willing to play shorthanded or otherwise until about 10 p.m. I would estimate the chances of this game getting off the ground at around 70%. As for the 20/40 game on Saturday, management started an early signup list for this game on tuesday and when I left the room, there were about 7 names on it but some of those people were not 100% sure they would play. Nevertheless, I still think there is a good chance (about 60%) we will get it going.

Last week, if the word on the street was correct, neither the 10/20 nor the 20/40 got off the ground. It's all just rumor, but I did here that there was a list for last saturday's (oct. 13) game of around 6 but they didn't get it going. Again, if you are willing to play short handed, the management will generally start your game for you with a little prodding. They are busy on the weekends but if you let them know you are there and willing to get a new table running they have been pretty accomodating.

the 30/60 game seemed to be running full tonight, oct. 16th (tuesday). I was playing NL, but walked by the table numerous times. I threw out a "sup bro" in case any 2+2er's were playing, but didn't get a response. oh well...

I didn't know "sup bro" was 2p2 code or I would have said hi. I was in the game from noon til 2 a.m.

"Sup bro" comes from a couple old threads from a couple years back. If you can find a link they are pretty amusing (sorry I do not know the link). People started saying "sup bro" at the tables after the thread got popular to see if others were fellow posters.

Anyway, I was the guy in a blue Irish Hurling/Gaelic Football jersey with a yellow Greenbay Packer visor.

I love the NL games down there at the Pot. I just wish I could afford to play more often instead of just taking a shot every now and then. I expect to play a little more (once a week about) these next couple months.

I will be there after nov. 12th a little more often since
THEY WILL BE SERVING ALCOHOL in the poker room! [censored] yeah!

I had the honor of sitting next to thedorf in $3/$6 omaha hi-lo today while he waited for the $20/$40 game to start. At 5pm the $20/$40 started and thedorf and his friend left for that game which basically caused the o/8 game to stop.

They need to get $1/$2 No-Limit going down there.

I'm a new Illinois player (just south of the state line by the Lake). No live experience to speak of, but I'd like to try it.

So what limits do the spread, and what buy-in tournaments do they have?

friday, oct. 19 the 10/20 game started at around 2ish or so. I can't remember. anyway, we played until around 7:30. on saturday, after I took six racks off the omaha game (god am i good) we started up the 20/40 at 5 p.m. and it went until around 3 a.m. My guess is that next week the saturday game will start earlier, probably closer to noon. I say this because I know another guy who now knows about the game and also some players were at canterbury but are now back. I'll know better on wednesday and give my predictions.

I can almost guarantee that this won't happen... I've asked the floor numerous times if they would ever spread it, and all I've gotten is "it will never happen."

They get too much action on the 3/5NL, and they probably don't want to take away from the lower limits that they spread. I would assume having a 1/2NL would drastically lower the 2/4 and 3/6 attendance. I'm no expert on the matter, but I think it would adversely effect profits for the casino. I have no physical evidence or prior knowledge for that assumption however...
