if you were writing this like your regular self, it would've said

"sup bro calls pre-flop with a massive pair of 88s. 88 is a medium pair to most mortals, but sup bro knows how to use 88s. flop comes with one over-card. others would be scared, but not sup bro cuz sup bro has washboard abs. so sup bro check-raises the raiser all-in on the flop."

Shove PF is right, but OP answered his own question when he said villain had been using his stack to jam flops and turns

Edit: I think I misread OP; without any history it's probably a fold

Wait, maybe it's a call. I mean, I'm kind of a station, so I probably find a call here, especially with no threat of a river bet

This series of replies from me really emphasizes that pushing PF is best

Shove pre...

If you are going to flat call pre you need to take the initiative at some point...rather than flat calling flop and being put to a decision on the turn, I would lead out on the flop...it is far harder for him to push the pile into you there than after you flat call a standard cbet with what very well could be overcards.

Based on my reply and what I was going to suggest about flat calling flop then shoving turn yourself, it reinforces that you should shove pre.

I would also shove pre-flop. However, it seems reasonable to use a check/calling line against an overaggressive player, as long as you don't lose your nerve.

There's so much in there on the flop I think he should just crai if he hasn't already crammed preflop.

i actually really like sheetsworld's response....i dont want to shove PF because i do give him credit tangling with the other big stack at the table BUT if i am willing to call a bet of $5K on the FLOP i am best off putting out on the FLOP a bet of $5K and putting him to the test, if he wants to raise over me then god bless him, he either has me beat or some major guts.......
