Default 15BB Challenge

I LOVE these things. For some reason, they really help me focus.

Anyway, I did one, today, all at Stars. I didn't have time to do the full 3 hours, so I quit before going to 3/6, but in 150-plus minutes I did the following:

66 hands at .5/1, won $15.25 for 23.11BB/100.
47 hands at 1/2, won $31.25 for 33.24BB/100.
76 hands at 2/4, won $29.50 for 9.7BB/100.

189 hands overall, won $76 for 20.24BB/100, in 156 minutes.

Top that, suckers! And I mean that...here's the challenge:

Start with 15BB at whatever limit you like. No multi-tabling unless you're using separate 15BBs. When you get to 15BB for the next level up, move up without taking any profits out. (All day today it seemed like I would hit the 15BB mark when I was in SB or on the button, so I'd finish the orbit...I hate to leave value on the table. That's up to you.) If you get knocked down to below 15BB for the next level down, move down. If you're at the lowest level your site allows, play until you're broke. You are limited to 2.5 hours of play...150 minutes, give or take (always finish the last orbit!). After that, your results are your results.

Now for the reward: the player that shows me the best result THAT BEATS MY WINRATE gets $10 in your Neteller account. If nobody beats my winrate, the best result gets $5. You can do as many as you like, but there will only be ONE prize awarded. Decisions of the judge (me) are final.

I'm away until Sunday. Your results need to be posted in this thread by midnight PT Sunday, 9/11/05 in order to be considered. No questions will be answered, so don't ask any; make your best judgement based on what I've posted, here, and I'll consider your good-faith efforts to remain within the rules.

Default Why I\'m doing this...

This, for me, is much more fun that a lot of the other challenges I see because you're trying to maximize winrate, not maximize winnings through maximizing the number of hands you play.

Yes, I was running well, today, but I was also working the table (just one) that I was sitting at, making positional steals, playing aggressively against the weak and passive, playing passively against the maniacally aggressive. It was a fun day.

I did one earlier, running from 1/2 to 3/6 in about 30 minutes before losing a hand at 3/6 and getting bored. I'll do it again a few times tomorrow.

First to 100/200 wins.

I'm going to try this with the $13.11 I have left at eurobet, and move up every time I have 15BBs for the next level.

I don't need the money -- just see how far I can get without running bad (or pussy out because of high limits).

Well, I gave this a shot yesterday, and had one of "those" streaks. First 30 mins, not 1 but 2 full houses lost...to quads and a higher full...with many more 2nd best hands to follow.

Strangely, the table was so soft (most pots contended 7-8 handed, call call call call call) even with all my 2nd best hands, I STILL didn't bust on my 15 BBs! I just couldn't make any headway. I quit and went out to dinner up 6 BBs after 2 hours.

I may give it a second shot today, because it was fun to try.

Sweet run! Doesn't count. I'll assume that you started with $90 (since you were playing 3/6), but you should have at least moved up to 5/10 when you hit $150. Depending on how much time you had left when you got to $300, you should have moved up to 10/20, then.
