agree to disagree here. I happen to believe that conflicts with monetary goals and objectives that will eventually go towards 'the church' are still religious at their core. I also believe that people have been persecuted for religious reasons long before the concept of money even existed.

And the thing is Funkii, I think it's kind of obvious he meant that. And I don't know why you and especially stealth cherrypick and attack the obvious. I'm pretty sure everybody here understand that you need money to eat and to buy a home. That is not the essence of the discussion, but I think you already knew this.

like I said, I didn't have a problem with that part, I had a problem with the "this is why I have a problem with this thread" comment in response to the part of stealth's post he quoted. and also like I said, it wasn't a very significant point, I just wanted to make it because I think it's really easy to rail against materialism even to ridiculous extremes, and that to some/a significant extent, materialism is part of being human.
