IMO, stars only added 5-card draw for completeness' sake, and TD/RAZZ/HORSE because they're popular (re)additions to the WSOP.

From a programming standpoint, I think it would be easier for them to take their 7 card stud engine and implement follow the queen than it would be to take their triple draw engine and implement KCL. I also think more people would play the former and that they would also lose their money to good players more gradually. In either case, implementing either is a silly idea and an unnecessary distraction. Let's add 5-card stud while we're at it!

Fine with me. There are a number of sites that have 5 card stud. The programming differences between adding wild card games and adding a WSOP bracelet game that is part of the regular rotation in the big game are negligible.

As far as popularity goes, my suspicion is that once the NLHE players see the similarities between KCL and NLHE, they'd add a few KCL tourneys to their slate.

KCL is just no limit triple draw with two fewer rounds. Since they already have NL TD, there's virtually no programming effort involved.

Stars already offers No Limit Triple Draw 2-7. KCL is the exact same game with only 1 draw. I dont see how it would be that hard to reprogram the game to limit it to only 1 draw.

I was surprised when I first saw the Stars NL 2-7 TD games. I had assumed that the games would be single draw (IE KCL) not TD. Ive never seen NLTD in a cardroom here in CA. But I have seen KCL before. Personally I think NLTD is kind of a silly game. It plays better with 1 draw.

It slipped my mind that they already had NLTD.

Yeah, I like how he rails against spreading a game that is played in many casinos and even more homegames, yet has no problem with NLTD.

As a tournament game, it plays better than pretty much everything except NLHE.
