Prosper.com. Why can't the poker world create something like this? Basically this site and the individuals are operating as a bank without a banking license and seem to be outside the scope of government regulation.

I think the difference is that lending money isn't illegal while the Justice Department appears to believe that online poker playing is (yes, I know that's not what the Wire Act has been interpreted to say, but tell that to DOJ). So the FBI could cause trouble for people engaged in the business of funding it under the pretense that you're money laundering, racketeering or some nonsense like that.

That is a very interesting site.... I might have to use some poker funds to start a side business there.... I will have to investigate further on this.....
