First time on a course

I have a new "home course" that I have almost exclusively this year (maybe 15 nine hole rounds). My guess is that I save about 4 strokes (for 18 holes) because I know the course well. I mean on pretty much every hole there is something helpful to know (where not to miss, leave above or below hole etc.), but not all of them come into play each round.
