i haven't read this whole thread (someone might have said this) but one CONCRETE reason party is faster is because of star's [censored] ridiculous timebank.

party times people out after what seems like six seconds while people on stars sometimes take 45 sec to make a decision.

Because of "word of mouth". Right now, everyone says to play on party. But if we all play on stars, then everyone will switch to stars.

Actually, all I see everyone saying is to play on WPEX.

And I don't want everyone to switch to Stars in the first place.

Hey Sykes,
why are you trying to defend stars so hard? It looks like your on your own here.
For me I like Poker Stars as a company. I think they have a good product and very good people. But as a customer I like to play on party because that's the place where I make more money. A lot of other people mentioned it. If money wouldn't matter and I would be playing for fun, yeah why not I would play on Stars.

good, i hope all the 2+2ers go to stars.

honestly i think stars has terrible software/interface, and is very slow compared to party.

I know this:

Here's a better question:

What would it take for stars to attract all the fish from party?

[/ QUOTE ]
A better affiliate set-up? If you're a fish wanting to give online poker a shot, are you going to want to put your own money into Stars, or take advantage of an instant bankroll from Party? Seems like affiliates promote Party much more heavily because it's more profitable for them.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think this is 100% correct.
Most fish seem to swim to Party because they are pointed in that direction, and we're just following the fish.

In online promotion activities, Party pwns Stars.

If you don't like money, then you shouldn't play at partypoker.
