Default Official UB Waitlist Problem Thread

I know a lot of people have been having a problem with the UB waitlists. I too have been having the same problems and have been working on some solutions. It seems that the problem is when the waitlist pops up and you are in the middle of the hand/and the action is on you.

Here is a solution that I tried last night in which i had 2 tables running and sat down at 5 more via the waitlist. I did not notice this option before, so it might be new.

Under options-->Table Options Tab---->Behavior
There is an option marked popup table on turn.
Uncheck this option and set it as the default for all tables.

I am still testing it out, but it worked last night without a freeze.

Let me know

Well if you want a legitmate solution and don't want to slow the games down(and be a dick).

Plus those DPs go quick when you are 8 tabling and those waitlists pop up.

Futher testing shows that this is not a complete solution to the problem, but seems to make it a little better.

Let me know if anyone has any other suggestions

Here's an illogical, but quick solution that always works for me. Alt-cntl-del opens up the task manager. Just close it. Then you can focus on whichever element you choose.

I don't even remember how I first discovered this, but it works.

Are you saying if you open and then simply close the TM it will unfreeze UB? That does seem illogical but anything is worth a shot b/c it's really starting to drive me nuts

I've had limited success alt-tab-ing out to another window and then alt-tab-ing back to the waitlist screen (make sure to choose "Waiting List" when cycling through windows since there are lots of UB windows open). Only works maybe ~1/2 the time though.

has anyone else emailed them? higher stakes ppl especially?

i play mid stakes and tried to, but they replied to me with a list of questions that would take too long. i just replied asking if they can narrow the list down - not sure if it'll get any further.
