Default FTP tournament payout structure

I am just wondering what you guys think of the payout structure on Full Tilt Poker. I have never played anywhere else so they might all be the same. I dont like how it is so top heavy. Lets say youre in a $10 MTT with 1300 people. The top 216 will cash but from 100 up you wont even double youre money. I think they should atleast payout like 10% so you actually win something. What do you guys think?

The lower limit tourneys payout a higher % than the higher limit tourneys. This is the way most casual players like it. cashing > not cashing for them, independent of what they cash for.

Didn't they pay out correctly in previous FTOPS limit events? I want to say I played in a previous HORSE, and I *NEVER* would have played in an event that paid to 5%, I'm just not that good a player.

They have different structures for 8 handed tournaments (stud) than 9 handed tournaments (hold em and omaha). Their list only goes up to 400+ entrants. Anything over that uses the same structure as if you had 500 entrants for example.

can't agree more. Mailed them when tourney started. Got answered "special 8 pl sturcture etc etc" +

"We have received a lot of feedback about this payout structure and are looking at ways to possibly improve it in the near future."

If you read between lines : we sucked, we'll do nothing, good luck... and be happy there's not 3000 players in. Was my first day on FT (registered for FTOPS, especially that HORSE). Ended 99th. Was also my last day, back to PS where I cannot figure that same mess to happen.

been robbed $216 (as I'd never have played a HORSE tourney paying so few, every horse player knows how that can turn fast to a crapshoot. Turning to a "crapshoot" before ITm, or close to ITM is ridiculous),had fun, no problem. But not twice

The structure for HORSEaments on Stars is so much better anyway.
