Default Cake and Sportsbook.com Poker

Hi folks,

For those of you on the site who've e-mailed me or posted here wondering about Sportsbook.com players, Cake and Paradise Poker, I want to set the record straight.

We built a skin for Sportsbook.com because they have tons of US customers who could no longer play on Paradise. Players who have cash in the Sportsbook account now only have to download the Sportsbook.com Poker site, create a nickname and then they can join a tournament or ring game immediately. But, these games are not on Paradise or against Paradise players.

Unfortunately, we're not able to transfer any history over for players who played on Paradise, so every player is starting from scratch. But the good news is the Sportsbook players do get to earn Gold Cards and Gold Chips (what used to be the Cake Slices, but we've since changed).

Anyhow, I'd seen folks talking about us taking over for Paradise and that's simply not the case. Sportsbook.com is simply offering a new poker solution to their players who were not able to play online poker any longer. Paradise is an awesome site which we look to with envy as they helped pioneer this industry.

Again, I want to apologize to those players who've contacted support and were disappointed to find out that their FPP's on Paradise are no longer around on this new site. But at the rate the Sportsbook players are playing the $2/$4 and $5/$10 tables, I'm hoping you'll find it easy to earn FPP's again.

Thanks and sorry for any mix-up,
Doug

Honestly, I'd push for them faster if I heard more folks ask for them, but it's tough when we get no support e-mails requesting it from players. There are Omaha games already in place and I probably need 1/2 a day to get 08 running, but with all the new traffic, we're busy making sure everything's running smoothly.

So the Sportsbook poker site is a skin of Cake, with the same games and promos?

That is correct. And might I add, from observing the games over the last 11 days, the Sportsbook players are...how shall I say it...loose with their bets?

Ave pot is over $300 with 50% seeing the flop at a 10 handed table. Any 2+2ers in it?

I found this Hand History on another forum. This play is just scary.

26s goes all in with $550 with Q87 rainbow on the flop. Unreal.
