Default I played this hand and was very confused

Villain in this hand is a good, solid player- 22/13/3 maybe? Don't remember, but he wasn't weird or anything.

I guess I put him on AQ? Or some other boat? I really don't think a flush draw plays like this from this player, but I could be convinced otherwise.

Hero ($194)
Button ($472)
SB ($82.45)
BB ($432.70)
UTG ($202)

Preflop: Hero is MP with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
1 fold, Hero raises to $8, 2 folds, BB calls $6.

Flop: ($17) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $12, BB calls $12.

Turn: ($41) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $29, BB calls $29.

River: ($99) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB bets $126, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $99

Let's try to get inside his mind.
He is good and solid. If you know that much about him, he probably knows some things about you to. YOu are not writing about it, but my
guess is that you would define yourself as "good and solid" to.

One the flop he will probably think you will have:
Just about anything

On the turn he will probably think you will have:
Ax, two diamonds, two clubs
He will probably be aware of the fact that you will check back KK etc. and call the river for pot control/bluff inducing.
He will probably be aware of the fact that you won't make a stone cold bluff often on the turn since it will be hard for you not to run into a hand that wants to call you down (Ax and pairs wanting to call down due to the fact that the board paired and an A is less likely in your hand).

On the turn he will probably think you will have:
The same type of hands since you have not acted yet lol

So basically a large percentage of your hand distributions should be draws or STRONG hands and he makes a giant bet. He is probably not a person who will think "Hmm he either has air or steel - I think I will try to bluff that hand distribution". Also, his bet size with AJ for example is strange since he knows this will scare a hand like A5 a lot. His logical play would rather be to check again and catch your 3rd barrels from all the missed draws.

I actually think it is an easy fold and that you made a good play =)

He's a good reg, his overbet here is a huge WTF to me, and I think is trying to get value from an A (he's boated up). I don't think he expects me to fold an A here, and he doesn't expect me to valuebet any non-A hand. And I have never seen a reg bluff a fd like that.

Yes, it would be very weird for a good regular to chase flush draws on the turn card with a paired board for such a steep price.
The more I think about it I think that calling here is EXTREMELY -EV and really a terrible play. It's hard to construct a scenario where it would work out...

Ya, and is he really overbetting some random A for value here (that isn't boated)?
