Default 13 left $109 OESD turn decision

13 left from 350. Average stack around 81K. Blinds 2000/4000 200a. I have 63,000 at the beginning of the hand. 7 players at the table, I raise to 11,125 with K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Folds to the BB (70K), who I have noted as a tricky winning player, who calls.

(Pot 25,625)

Flop: T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

BB checks and I check(?)

Turn: T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

BB thinks about 5 seconds and bets 16,000. I...?

Wow very akward stack here. What position are you in PF? With an M of 8 this is too good of a hand to open fold so this is a clear raise PF.

If you are in fairly late position how about shoving PF? You pick up 7800 if not called.

You are getting 2.5 to 1 to call the 16k which leaves you with 36k and a pot of 57k on the river. As played I shove turn. I have 8 outs against two pair or better and most likely 14 outs against just a pair.

Your check on flop looks weak (and it is) so maybe BB is taking a stab. Only calling gives him chance to double barrel and u are left with k-high 70% of the time.

Sorry, I'm UTG- fyi.

Actually, my buddy thought that was the interesting part of the hand. I thought the river was more interesting. After 10-15 seconds of deliberation between pushing and calling, I called. The river:

T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Villain thinks about 5 seconds and pushes.

As played, call the river, you are probably beat, but you win often enough with pot odds. Flat calling the turn was awful.

Preflop is OK, but folding may be best. I might limp, but that is not standard. You could also make an even smaller raise.

I think a call PF is an interesting play. SOOO many people do it with AA and a few other big hands that I could encourage hands that dominate kq to fold. Obviously this would not be any where near my standard line but def. something to throw in there.

what if u were folded to on button w/ KQ...all else being the same. Push? Std. raise? If standard raise and BB 3 bets all in... your move?

Dominate was incorrect word. If we make std. raise mid pairs might 3 bet and then we have a tough call and are releaved its a coin flip. If we limp every once in a while maybe these mid pairs think twice???
