because he still has to maximize value against hands that he beats? we pretty much always have showdown value but we don't always have a ten.

in other words, in order for your thought to be right, villian pretty much always has to think we are going to bluff push AQ or KK or QJ on the river in order to get a 9 to fold

what? no i just think that hero has a very small calling range on river. i also think Tx is a part of hero's range. when villain OVERBET SHOVES 2x pot into river, i think he is getting called too much by Tx to make shoving 9x profitable. and i think that should be apparent to everybody (even him).

Really? I've never played with villain but I know he is a regular. I'd have a hard time believing he is checkraising the turn with a T.
