RULES OF BOGGLE

Sixteen letters are randomized on a 4x4 grid. You search for words that can be consructed from the letters of sequentially adjacent letters. (Horizontally, vertically, and/or diagonally touching letters only.)

Any "Q" may be used either as a "Q" or a "Qu". If used as a "Qu", the cube counts for two letters for scoring purposes. (i.e. "quilt" is a 5 letter word, even though it only used 4 tiles.)

In this version of the game, all of a player's words count. Words are not crossed off of a list because they appear on multiple players score cards. Words count if they appear in the Official Scrabble Dictionary (http://www.hasbro.com/games/adult-ga....cfm?page=home). Use of a dictionary during the competition is prohibited.

There is no penalty for listing words that do not exist. However, if I feel that you're listing a bunch of gibberish to see if you can get a couple more points, you will be disqualified.

You will score points based on the following scale:

8+ 11

GAME PLAY

Each player will recieve two boggle boards via PM. The objective of the game is to score as many points as you can on both boards. Your score will by the product of your score on each board.

You will submit to the moderator a list of words contained in each board via PM. As with sudoku, only PM'd entries will count.

You will have 10 minutes to submit your entry from the time of read receipt. If you exceed this 10 minute mark, your entry will be disqualified. You may submit your answers a maximum of 2 times. The last entry sent before the 10 minutes is up will be scored. So, if you're paranoid, you can send one entry after 7 minutes and the other at 9:30 or whatever.

ADVANCING
The top 6 scores plus ties will advance to the final round. Only answers received during the time limit will be eligible to advance to the finals.

RANKING
Those eliminated in the first round will be sorted into 3 groups: completed in time limit, disqualification by time, disqualification by other means.

They will then be ranked by score among their group. All who completed in the time limit will be ranked ahead of disqualified entries. All disqulifications by time will ranked ahead of disqualifications by other means.

If there is a tie of scores, they will be broken by adding the scores on the two boards. If there is still a tie, the place and corresponding championship points will be shared.

Finalists will be ranked ahead of eliminated contestants. They will be sorted as above. They will then be ranked by total score for both rounds. If there is a tie, the last round score will break the tie. If there is still a tie, the sum of the final round boards will break the tie. If there is still a tie, the sum of the first round boards will break the tie. Any remaining ties will count as ties and the place and corresponding championship points will be shared.

If a player does not attempt the first round, he will receive zero championship points.
