25NL - Ugh - KK on 4way A-high flop - line check

No reads. Obviously, this is not the ideal situation. But my question is whether or not it's correct to go immediately into check/fold mode. I figure that somebody has the ace, and they're not folding, so a c-bet is worthless. This is totally standard, right?

Absolutely standard. Can't believe the case Ace fell on the flop though, horrible luck, but you got your money in good and out when it was bad.
(Compare with the guy pushing AT)

If there are 3 peopel to the flop I lead out in this spot because I can take it down often enough representing AK. If I'm called or reraised I shut down or let it go.

The thinking being, if I check they're going to bet representing the A, I won't know if it's a position bet or an A, and I'll have to fold.

I think I win the pot enough times betting out the compensate for the times I lose when someone has an A.
