Hero has invested $3 into this pot with a marginal hands. Hero has to pay $65.50 to find out if his hand is good. Pot size is $7.50 - for all those who call can you see why this is wrong?

This doesn't matter. We only have to be right like 50% of the time.

What's to explain, that should be obvious.

Hate to be a nit, but this isn't quite right. We only have to have 50% equity. We're 'right' if villain shoves with a flush draw, but he still wins the pot a % of the time. If we're wrong and villain has a 3 or a better A, then we win the pot a much smaller % of the time. You of course know this, just thought I'd clarify.

I know. We have to type a range into poker tracker and if that says we're 50%+ then we call.

I got 50% by saying that we basically have to call 65 to win 65 so 1 to 1 which is 50%.

I would call this really damn quick. Let's face it, the majority of the time our opponent flops a big hand the last thing that they are doing is trying to push us out of the pot. This is a draw or big PP less than aces more than it is AA, AK, AQ, or a 3. The most dangerous hand to Hero that I would suspect here is 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] or 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
