Turning TP into a bluff
Villain is TAGish and seems relatively competent post-flop. I'm playing solid 20/17ish. Once he calls turn, I know for sure I have practically zero showdown value here.

Re: Turning TP into a bluff
pf: dont raise JTs utg
flop: fine turn: smaller bet does the same job river: spewy. you are oop with a marginal hand. let him have it. there are better spots. this is why we dont play marginal hands oop |

Re: Turning TP into a bluff
pf: fine
flop:fine turn: fine I dont like the river, if you think you have zero showdown value when he calls turn, he always has Tx/2 pair/set type of hands, and I dont see any of these folding, except TQ and TJ maybe. Ill c/f river with your read |

Re: Turning TP into a bluff
What is the purpose of our river bet? If it's to fold out better hands, only 2hands that I can see folding are JJ or QTs (those 2hands are not very likely given the villain's stats)
we repped at least AT by double barreling on turn but he still comes along to the river. I would check hoping to get a free SD or just c/f. |

Re: Turning TP into a bluff
pre fine
flop fine turn I might c/c to keep his range more wide if indeed you think you are beat after he calls flop river is a c/f imho mostly but if you've been double barreling lots and not triple barreling I think you can fire a third here to rep AK and monsters |

Once he calls turn, I know for sure I have practically zero showdown value here. [/ QUOTE ] Then why are we betting? draws are unlikely. if your read is right, c/c or c/f seems like a better line depending on how floaty he is. |

Once he calls turn, I know for sure I have practically zero showdown value here. [/ QUOTE ] So the turn was also a bluff? |

if you think you have zero showdown value if he calls your turn, then check the turn
