The Prof. Lederer said, "An Tran has lost thousands of dollars because he smoke cancer stix and misses so many hands in tournaments"
how true is this?? ....any other chain-smokers/poker players that this is affecting?

I smoke but have never missed hands in a tourney to fire down a lung dart. I do miss a decent number of hands in cash games going to smoke, usually getting up every second or third pass of the button. I am usually not playing in long round tourneys though. If I was playing a 2hr round tourney with breaks after every 3 I would without a doubt miss some hands for that nicofix.

I really have no opinion on this subject, but I would just like to say I LOVE NONSMOKING POKER ROOMS.

[/ QUOTE ] Assuming An Tran has an edge at the average tournament table this would probably be true, because the more he is at the table, the more he is in +EV situations.
